Honda Motor Co., Ltd.. showed continued existence as a modern automobile manufacturer and is not 'stutter' technology. New system was given the name "Honda Smart Ecological Paint (Honda SE Paint)".The main function of this system is more to speed up the process by removing the paint coating the middle (middle coat), without reducing the quality of the end.
As a press release received by the editors CarMall, Tuesday (18/12), Honda said today it still uses conventional painting system, which consists of four coating process (4 coat / 3 bake), ranging from electrodeposit coat, middle coat, water-based topcoat and clear coat, and require three times the drying system (bake). Such systems have limited weaknesses of colors used to paint.
To address the gap, Honda developed a high efficient material as basic dyes used in the final coating. This material can produce any color you want to use in the process of painting the car's exterior, while reducing the process of painting into three layers and two drying.
At the same time, the Japanese automaker is also developing a new robotic painting system named Wall-Mounted Paint Robot System. The system is supported by the technology built-in quick load / quick wash tank paint, painting to increase efficiency, and reduce the amount of paint by 40% compared to conventional painting process. As a result, the amount of carbon dioxide can be reduced by 40%.
