With
a long hood, sweeping roofline, wing-like LED taillights and a
full-width grille, compact crossover MKC is the second showcase for new
design theme debuted on the Lincoln MKZ sedan.
MKC concept that will premiere at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit is part of an attack that includes four all-new models aimed at the most popular segment in the next four years.
Based on the same architecture as the Ford Escape, the concept of MKC sign a production model that is expected in a year or more.
New luxury compact SUV features new Lincoln split-grille, first seen in 1930 and reintroduced in a sedan Zephyr 2013 MKZ mid-size luxury. In addition, features are the most striking is the frameless doors, panoramic roof with two steel bars running across the length and clamshell tailgate that extends over the rear wing and offers a huge opening in the trunk.
Apart from being a concept, the cabin looks like it could be lifted straight from the production car and, apart from a few elements such as leather wrapped A-pillars and the four-seat configuration that will most likely feature on the MKC road-ready.
There is a significant upgrade in the materials and, fashion-oriented package. Materials combined with the use of a combination of progressive and stitching and color.
MKC is the smallest car ever made Lincoln, a 4550 mm (179.3 in) in length, 1932 mm (76.1 in) and 1607 mm (63.2 in) 2712 mm high and exercise (106.9 in) wheelbase. This makes it longer and wider than the Ford Escape upon which it is based, on a 4524 mm (178.1 in) long and 1839 mm (72.4 in) in width and has a wheelbase (2690 mm / 105.9 in) shorter.
The pattern that mimics badges adorn Lincoln rectangular seats, doors, dash and black leather footpads. A center console that runs from the firewall to the rear bulkhead created a four-seat layout. It was not possible to make it into reality, but the push-button shifter concept and voice recognition, touch screen and button-free control panel is a production-ready now.
